COLLECTING

Upon assignment of an account, SCS will send its first notice to the responsible party and then allow an opportunity for reciprocal contact. Our collectors are trained to get payment in full, keeping in mind that each person may have a special circumstance to be taken into consideration. Accounts are worked on a daily basis using SCS technology and manual collector efforts.

LITIGATION

SCS has the ability to provide our clients with an opportunity to have its assigned collection accounts litigated by attorneys who are on retainer with our company. While we try to avoid litigation whenever possible, sometimes, when all other avenues of recovery have failed, we may have no other choice but to litigate the account. Before requesting suit authorization from the client, an in-depth asset search is performed. SCS does not start legal proceedings without the expressed written consent of the client. We utilize attorneys and paralegals to help prepare lawsuits, secure judgments, and execute post judgment work to aid in the recoveryof outstanding debts.

AUDITING & REVIEW

The auditing and review of assigned accounts by our clients is welcomed. This can be done online through our software(Client Control Portal). SCS can provide a hard copy of our debtor work card upon request.

CLIENT SERVICE

SCS believes that it takes more than good results for our clients to be happy with our collection service... It Takes Service! This philosophy is the main reason we employ full-time client service representatives. These representatives are dedicated to specific clients and/or specific groups of clients.

Every collector must take and pass a test consisting of Fair Debt Collection Practices. No collector is allowed to make a call prior to passing this test. Follow-up review classes and material is made available to each collector in an effort for continued education and compliance training. SCS has NO MINIMUM dollar amount required from our clients. All accounts regardless of their size are worked by means of automation as well as manual efforts. Accounts are worked until a determination has been made. If an account is deemed "uncollectible", it is placed on the debtor's credit profile for seven years and followed up on regularly. SCS accepts all major credit cards as well as check-by-phone. Debtors are also able to make payments online. Our goal is to continually improve our ability to successfully serve our clients, while never compromising the above stated principles.
